Ceramic handbuilding Courses
The course is led by Funda - she studied fine arts in England and also successfully acquired her diploma and master student title at the University of the Fine Arts
in Berlin. K Studio Ceramics & painting Studio is intended to be a place for all those who need a break from the fast-paced everyday life.
The material clay in the hand-building course has a relaxing effect and, with its vital forces, is the ideal partner for finding inner peace.
The unconventional studio, surrounded by painting, ceramics and creativity, which offers the perfect location for the unique experience of working with clay,
stimulates lightness, joy and attention in order to breathe deeply and live in the moment.

We work in a light-flooded artist's studio, where you can build your ceramic pieces with your hands and then paint them using the engobe technique.
The large room offers the perfect location for the unique experience of working with clay and creating unique pieces that you make yourself.
Through direct contact with the material: clay, it has a relaxing effect and, together with your creativity, is the ideal balance against everyday stress. Working with clay has a relaxing and calming effect through kneading, shaping, gluing, modelling.
You will create, knead, feel, shape, glue, model unique ceramic pieces that unlock your individual experience with clay.
From the thumb technique to the bead technique, we will test the techniques together step by step and create ceramic pieces & if you want, you can use creative texture and surface methods. Together we model a bowl and a cup by hand.
Afterwards, if you would like, we will use the Engobe technique together so that you can paint your finished ceramic pieces and we can fire them for you with a transparent Glaze after bisque firing!
We have ceramic engobes available in different colors, including cannulas, so that you can draw on your ceramics.
The course is ideal for beginners and anyone who has already gained experience with clay.
After the course, we will have to let your pieces dry out properly for you, put them in the bisque firing, and then glaze them for you. The finished ceramics can then be picked up from our studio after approx. 2-3 weeks later. We will inform you about this via email.
If you wish, we can also send your great unique items for an additional charge.
Please bring old clothes or an apron so that you can really get started and of course have fun and have fun, because nothing is wrong in this workshop, everything is unique, because you are unique,

How does it work with the course?
After the greeting in front of main entrance door in front of the building, we take the elevator together to the studio floor which is located nice and bright on 4th floor. (its wheelchair friendly)
After a short introduction, we will gain an insight into the different construction techniques and try out the techniques ourselves and make two pieces of ceramic with organic clay.
Cafe / water are available. Free parking spaces are available directly in front of the building.
For whom is the course suitable for?
The course is ideal for beginners or advanced, all levels, who want to immerse themselves in the world of pottery. No previous knowledge is required.
We are happy to find an individual appointment during the week for groups of between 3 and 7 people.
No matter whether team building workshops, birthdays or bachelor parties. Even for Individual Children we are there and ready to have fun !
